The Trust looks after a charitable fund from which grants are made to a wide range of charities registered or having projects in Scotland. The Trustees consider two groups of applications, those from churches requesting assistance with fabric projects and those from all organisations for other types of projects.
Grants are given to a mix of established national or regional voluntary organisations and small local organisations. These can be contributions to larger projects and services, although the Trust favours one off projects where the small grants available will make a significant difference to the service. The Trust does not usually fund ongoing services over time.
Many grants are made to organisations working with young people or their families with a variety of needs but organisations working with older people are also supported. Projects concerned with mental and physical health, sports and the arts have all received grants in recent years.
Applications for grants must be made via the Trust’s online application form.
